DR CARLOS CABRERA BOralH GDipDent BSc (Hons) – PRINCIPAL DENTIST / OWNER

Dr Carlos Cabrera grew up in Ipswich and completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Queensland. He then went on to complete his Dentistry Degree at Griffith University with Academic Excellence right here on the sunny Gold Coast. This is where his love for the Gold Coast began! Since then, Dr Carlos continues to actively pursue opportunities to expand on his knowledge and skills.

Dr Carlos is interested in all aspects of dentistry and aims to ensure that all your concerns are addressed during your visit. He likes to make patients feel comfortable and at ease with his gentle nature and sense of humour. Dr Carlos strives to change people’s perspective of how we all think of dentistry and endeavours to make sure every patient leaves with a smile.

Dr Carlos himself has had his own dental experiences which led him to pursue Dentistry as a Career. At the age of 12, he tripped and knocked his two front teeth which led him to have Root Canal treatment and Crowns to repair his front teeth. At the age of 18, he was required to have his wisdom teeth removed under Local Anaesthetic and then had Invisalign treatment to straighten his teeth. Having experienced all these dental procedures himself, he knows how it feels to be a patient and can empathise with his patients to ensure that each dental experience is a pleasant one.

Dr Yuryj Kostirko BDS

Dr Yuryj Kostirko grew up in Toronto, Canada. After moving to the nation’s capital, he attended The University of Ottawa, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and Spirituality. While completing his studies, Yuryj worked as a naval reservist as well as an emergency medical responder on the Rideau Canal Skateway, which happens to be the world’s largest outdoor skating rink. After completing his studies, Yuryj worked closely with vulnerable children and families which has equipped him with a keen understanding and awareness of the needs of others.

While in Canada, Yuryj lived by both oceans and the Rocky Mountains. With a passion for the outdoors, Australia was a natural fit. In 2020, Yuryj decided to combine his desire to work with people with his passion for working with his hands by pursuing a career in dentistry. Yuryj completed his Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Master of Dentistry at Griffith University. 

While studying at Griffith, Yuryj founded Food First, a charitable food and clothing donation program to support those less fortunate living on the Gold Coast. A gifted communicator, Yuryj projects a calm and gentle relationship with his patients. He prides himself on his ability to empathise with others and is always open to questions.

Aside from work, he enjoys an athletic lifestyle. While an avid runner, he just as much enjoys working out at the gym, playing tennis or going for a hike. 

While passionate about all things dentistry, Yuryj has a particular interest in oral surgery and prosthodontics (crowns and bridges). Above all else, Yuryj strives to make his patients comfortable and provide them with the best possible care.
